Elisabeth Liselotte Kraus, born in 1992 in Bamberg, is an interdisciplinary artist who works at the intersection of art, conflict transformation and education. Her works include site-specific and socially engaged installations that examine the roots of absurdities within social, psychological, and political contexts. Humor plays a central role in her work. Kraus studied Fine Arts at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and at the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul. She obtained a certificate in "Peace Promotion and International Cooperation in the Arts" from the ZHDK in Zurich, Switzerland. During her Master's program in "International Master Artist Educator" at the ArtEZ University of Arts in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and Belfast, Northern Ireland, she deepened her interest in art and conflict transformation. In addition to international projects, such as collaboration with the Lebanese sound artist Nour Sokhon, Elisabeth Liselotte Kraus is a member of the Atelier Collective "KOMBINAT e.V." in the Spinnerei Leipzig.
